With this versatile utility, you can back up your DVD movies in multiple video file formats, which are usually lighter and more manageable. You can then enjoy them on your PC and a wide variety of portable devices. It can also be used to extract the audio stream from your DVDs, and from more advanced disc formats, such as HD DVD and Blu-ray discs.

Thanks to its attractive and functional user interface, most users will surely find this program easy to use. It allows you to load your movie from a DVD disc or a DVD folder and then select only the titles of the specific files you want to rip. There are buttons to select either all the titles of your movie or the main one only (usually the longest stream). Moreover, you can select for every title the audio and subtitle tracks to back up, and even a subset of chapters. Then, you can replace the default output folder by a custom one and select your output format.

Embedded in the same window there is a basic media player that allows you to preview any title from your movie to make sure you chose the right one. Though basic, this player allows you to take snapshots of your playing video stream. As for the output format selection process, it might be a bit confusing for some novice users. First, you are asked to choose a category among Video, Devices, and Audio, and only then you can select the desired output format. Finally, you can choose a preset profile from a list, which will vary according to your previous selections. more
